The Dallas, Texas Event, unlike the Virginia one, was organized within a short time, however, the turn out was very impressive. Over a hundred people showed up for the event. It was held on April 1, 2017 at Dreams Club. The opening ceremony went in a similar way to the Virginia event.

Dr. Sentayehu Kassa, the author, gave an introductory short talk and invited the guests to watch a power point presentation of the biography of Colonel Kassa Gebremariam and the making of the book. Video messages of Colonel Semret Medhanie, Brigadier General Tesfaye Habtemariam and Major General Tilahun Argaw followed; and then messages from Major Dawit Woldegiorgis and Brigadier General Kassaye Chemda were read to the audience.

After several former Ethiopian Defense Force members living in Dallas gave short speeches the author held a Question and Answer session. In some cases the session was used to express their appreciation for the community service that the author gave to the Ethiopian Community in Dallas. Some went to the extent of saying it was like father like daughter. It was a very enthusiastic audience.

The commemoration of Colonel Kassa Gebremariam and the launching of his biography in Dallas came to an end with a very thoughtful and enlightening speech delivered by Kasist (a priest) Andualem of St Michael’s church in Dallas.

Lastly we would like to extend our sincere appreciation and thanks to all the people who helped us out in making the event happen and to all the people who came to the event. በዳላስ ቴክሳስ የተዘጋጀው ይህ ልዩ በዓል ከቨርጂንያው ዝግጅት የሚለየው በአጭር ጊዜ ጥሪ መደረጉ ነው። ይሁንና ዝግጅቱ በኤፕሪል 1 ቀን 2017 ዓ/ም በድሪምስ ክለብ ሲደረግ ከመቶ በላይ ሰው በመገኘት አስደንቆናል። እንደ ቨርጂኒያው ሆኖ በዓሉ ተከፈተና ፀሐፊዋ ዶ/ር ስንታየሁ ካሣ አጭር ንግግር አድርጋ በፓወር ፓይንት የተዘጋጀውን የኮሎኔል ካሣ ገብረማርያም ስዕላዊ አጭር ታሪክና የመጽሐፉን አዘገጃጀት የሚሳየውን ትዕይንት እንግዶቹ እንዲመለከቱ ጋበዘች።

ትዕይንቱን በማስከተል ከኮሎኔል ስምረት መድሃንዬ፥ ከብ/ጄኔራል ተሰፋዬ ሃብተማርያምና ከሜ/ጄኔራል ጥላሁን አርጋው የተላኩ የቪድዬ መልክቶች ቀረቡ። በማስከተልም ከሻለቃ ዳዊት ወልደጊዮርጊስና ከብ/ጄኔራል ካሣዬ ጨመዳ የተላኩት የጽሁፍ መልዕክቶች ተነበቡ።

ከዚያም በዳላስ ንዋሪ የሆኑ የቀድሞው ሠራዊት አባላት አጫጭር ንግግር አድረገው ለፀሐፊዋ የጥያቄና መልስ ጊዜ ተስጥቷል። በዚያም ገሚሱ ከጥያቄ ይልቅ ፀሐፊዋ በዳላስ ላለው የኢትዮጵያ ማኅበረሰብ የምትሰጠውን የጤና ግልጋሎት የሚያሞገስና የሚያመስገን ነበረበት። የፀሐፊዋ የሕዝብ ግልጋሎት ከአባቷ መምጣቱን አዛምደው የገለጹም ነበሩ። የሕዝቡ ስሜትና ተሳትፎም በጣም የጋለና እጅግ የሚያስደስት እንደነበር መግለጹ ተገቢ ነው።

በመጨረሻም ድንቅና ጥልቅ የሆነ ንግግር ከቅዱስ ሚካኤል ቤተክርስትያን በቀሲስ አንዱዓለም ከተሰማ ወዲያ ኮሎኔል ካሣ ገብረማርያምን ለማስታወስና የሕይወት ታሪካቸውን የሚገልጸውን መጽሐፍ ለመመረቅ በዳላስ ከተማ የተዘጋጀው ልዩ በዓል በሚያስደስት ሁኔታ ተጠናቅቋል።

የዳላስ ቴክሳስን ዝግጅት በአጭር ጊዜ በመሰባሰብ የተሳካ እንዲሆን ለረዱን በዳላስ የአማርኛ ሬድዮ ፕሮግራም አዘጋጆች፥ ለቅዱስ ሚካኤል ቤተክርስትያን አመራሮች፥ ለአቶ እዩኤል ነጋ፥ ለወ/ሮ መሠረት አበበ፥ ለዶ/ር ኤስ ራቪ፥ ለአቶ አዲሱ አሳምነው፥ ለድሪምስ ክለብ ባለቤት ለአቶ ኃይሉ፥ ለሻለቃ ታፈሰወርቅ አሰፋ፥ ለኮ/ል ዮናስ ሊበን፥ ለሻለቃ ሰሎሞን ጋዲሳና በበዓሉ ተገኝተው አብረውን ላከበሩት ሁሉ እጅግ የላቀ ምስጋናችንን በትህትና እንገልጻለን።
